LiveView:

The built in 3.5 " color LCD on the handheld transmitter displays a LiveView which is independent of the DSLR. You can view these live images from up to 60 meters (180 feet ) away from the camera location, giving visual confirmation of both the scene as well as the photo taken. Perfect for wildlife, action, sport, hazardous, and surveillance photography.

A unique and usable feature of the Inspire remote is, if your DSLR lens is set in a close-up/zoom position, the CMOS camera in the Inspire receiver functions as a separate, convenient wide-angle (35 degree) LiveView for surveying the overall scene. This allows you to monitor the scene prior to switching to the close-up/zoom DSLR Live View to take the shot.

Applications:

Inspire can be used for any photographic application that you are currently using a remote triggering device…sports, outdoor, wildlife, architectural, wedding, in short, any current shooting situation. Inspire enhances your remote triggering capability in that you get instantaneous confirmation of the shot that you just triggered. No more guessing as to whether the subject was " in-frame " , or that the action that you wished to shoot was actually captured.

Camera Compatibility:

The built in Phono socket allows easy connection to the camera AV output, using the AV cable supplied with the camera. Cameras that do not have an AV output or LiveView mode can still be used with the Inspire. The built-in CMOS camera on the receiver unit of the Inspire sends a Inspire View (similar to the cameras' Live View )of the camera scene to the LCD on the handheld ( Inspire ) receiver.

Playback:

Inspire will store up to 99 images. To view stored images, simply press the " review " button, located on the lower right hand portion of the unit. Playback mode allows the user to toggle backwards or forwards, reviewing images stored. In addition, there is a center " delete " button, where photos can be removed from the unit's memory. (This does not delete photos stored on the cameras' memory card.) Of course, this handy feature eliminates the need to go to the camera itself to view images taken.

Camera Control:

Inspire can control 4 different receivers connected to 4 different DSLR'S. Inspires is easily programmed to let the receiver know which chosen unit is in use. The unit will actually " search " for cameras being used. In addition, a handy menu located at the bottom of the Inspire view screen shows the individual cameras' settings, EV, ISO, battery meter, etc. Switching between units is ultra-fast and easy. And, while one camera is being used, the receivers on the cameras not being used go into sleep mode. ( And easily " woken up " at the touch of a button ! ) Additional receivers sold separately.

Universal Power Source:

Inspire can be powered with AA Alkaline batteries, although for longer use, AA Ni-MH, or AA Lithium Ion are recommended. The built in Mini USB port offers unlimited additional power options, such as direct power from a laptop, external Li Ion battery packs, or AC/DC adapter.

Other Features:

• A handy push button feature allows the user to vary the brightness of the receiver view screen.
• The Inspire receiver unit has a flush mount , pull out " foot " which can rest the unit on any flat surface.
• A cut out area located on the side of the receiver will accept a lanyard or carry strap. ( not included )
