| In keeping with the demand by todays' photographers for camera bags to house their smaller digital photo gear, Billingham has introduced the New Digital Hadley. Hand made to the same strict standards that photographers have come to expect from Billingham & Co., the Digital Hadley is roomy enough to the carry most any D-SLR with a medium zoom lens attached as well as an additional lens or flash. A roomy front exterior pocket is ideal for carrying cords, chargers, memory device, or extra batteries. This front pocket is secured via a brass snap, as well as being protected by the main covering flap, which locks via Billinghams' famous quick closure system. Of course, the Digital Hadley is ideal for film as well as digital video cameras. | ||||||

After a nearly 4 year hiatus, Billingham has reintroduced their famous PhotoVest. Hand produced in Birmingham England, and made with the same high standards as the rest of the Billingham line, the new PhotoVest boasts several Photographer and Travel friendly features. Rather than just make a product that will carry photo gear, Martin Billingham has taken into account both comfort as well as accessibility, while at the same time incorporating traditional English styling and design. Manufactured out of Cordura 500, texturized, multi-filament material, which feels like brushed cotton, the Billingham PhotoVest will provide years of rugged use. This material is supple and quiet, extremely important when noise must be kept to a minimum. Starting from the bottom up, the exterior of the vest has four large (7 x 9 inches) equipment pockets (two on either side) all closed with zip pulls and covered by a generous cloth flap. These pockets can easily carry spare camera bodies, as well as motor drives or spare lenses. In addition, the top pockets are roomy enough to carry lenses of up to eighteen (18) inches in height when inserted vertically. At chest-height, two (2) "hidden" pockets on either side of the vest will accommodate just about any size zoom lens. These horizontal pockets are 10 inches in length, and are deep enough to prevent gear from falling out of the vest while " on-the-run ". In addition, two concealed zip compartments also running horizontally, and measuring nine (9) inches in length can store gear, which might not be used immediately. As well, the exterior has a protected left front flap pocket, which will hold press credentials, wallet, etc. Two (2) pen slots are positioned on either side of the main center zipper. Two (2) Stainless Steel eyelets are secured to the vest for tying on light meters, etc. More than just fashionable, epaulettes on both sides of the PhotoVest have two position snaps for securing camera carry straps. The padded semi-shawl collar is comfortable and prevents chafing while carrying a heavy load. A heavy-duty zipper closes the vest, and a secondary snap tab, right at under-chest height allows the photographer to keep the vest closed while allowing for increased airflow. This closure tab secures on the inside of the vest, as opposed to the outside, to prevent the accidental opening of the vest in case a camera strap brushes against it. The interior of the PhotoVest has two large (7 x 8 inch) zip pockets, one each on the right and left side. These pockets can generously accommodate extra camera bodies, and are located at chest height. The bottom interior portion of the vest has four open pockets, ideal for carrying filters, batteries, etc. The back of the vest has three air vents, which aid in additional airflow on warm days. The interior of the vest at vent height is mesh. The bottom of the vest comes to just below the waist. Four sizes of the vest are available from Small to Extra Large. The Billingham PhotoVest is available in a light Khaki color, which is far less heat absorbing than a darker colored vest. Overall finish of the vest is beautiful, stitches all in a neat row, and reminds one of a well-made article of clothing. |
